House Refurbishment, 2017
Wood Vale, Forest Hill

Extension to a Victorian house including a modern kitchen dining area, new full height glazing, polished concrete floor and external terrace area.

The insertion of a new steel frame allowed existing loadbearing walls to be removed and the space extended to create a new large open-plan space filling the side-return. Large glazed screens were installed creating a fully glazed aspect to the garden. The area outside was excavated to create a new terrace area. A new polished concrete floor was installed complete with under-floor heating – the same material was used on the external terrace areas. A frameless glass rooflight allows light to fall across the cooking area. A simple light-grey lacquered kitchen was installed complete with quartz countertops.
