The practice has been shortlisted for the BD Young Architect of the Year Award 2008.

Shortlisted for Pennine Lancashire Squared Competition
We have been shortlisted for the Accrington site in this competition which aims to develop six unique public spaces in the towns of Pennine Lancashire.

Pavilion to be featured in the RIBA Journal
Avenham Park Pavilion will be profiled in the August edition of the RIBA Journal to be released on the 29th July.

Pavilion Shortlisted for the Wood Awards
Avenham Park Pavilion has been shortlisted for the annual Wood Awards. The shortlist will be launched officially on the 18th September at 100% Detail at Earls Court. The award ceremony will be held in October 2008.

Preston Pavilion Complete
Avenham Park Pavilion was completed today. The building will open to the public in time for Preston's annual egg rolling event on Easter Monday.

Much of the building envelope is now finished. Completion of the building is expected in February.

Ian McChesney to assessor on the Mersey Observatory Design Competition
Ian will act as RIBA assessor on this international RIBA competition to design a new observatory building overlooking the Mersey Estuary near Crosby.

Shortlisted for Leeds City Art Gallery Competition
We have been selected to a shortlist of 5 to take part in a competition to produce proposals for Leeds Art Gallery's new Artspace.

Much of the roof is now finished and work is now focussing on the curtain wall and interiors.

McChesney Architects selected for Olympic Village Architects Panel
The practice has been selected as part of a panel of 47 practices (from 434 submissions) from which architects will be chosen to design the Athletes’ Village for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

We have been invited with 4 others to take part in a competition to design a pavilion for Soane Street, a new space planned for the Regents Place Estate in central London.

Planning permission was granted last week for a new build three-bedroom house in Hither Green near Lewisham.

Wind Shelter shortlisted for RIBA Awards
The Blackpool Wind Shelter has reached the shortlist in the annual RIBA Awards. The winning schemes will be announced on the 16 th May at a presentation at Cube in Manchester.

Wind shelter wins Civic Trust Award
The practice was awarded a Civic Trust Award for the Blackpool at a ceremony last night. In addition to winning the award the shelter was used on the front cover of the awards catalogue.

Avenham Park Pavilion starts on site
Work commenced on our new pavilion in Preston yesterday. Completion is expected at the end of the year.

Sortlisted for New Islington bridge competition
The practice has reached a shortlist of four in a competition to design a footbridge over the Rochdale Canal in east Manchester that will link New Islington, Manchester’s Millennium Community with its neighbour Ancoats Urban Village. Our scheme was selected for a shortlist of 4 from 87 entries.

The practice has reached a shortlist of 5 for an RIBA competition for proposals to improve the roadside landscape along the A66 corridor in Middlesbrough.

Wind Shelter exhibition opens in Manchester
An exhibition profiling the development of the wind shelter from competition through to completion opened at Cube in Manchester last night. The exhibition runs until the 10 th March 2007.
