Leeds City art gallery required a furniture proposal for their new Artspace, an education facility within the museum that would cater for families and school children. We reinterpreted the traditional drawing donkey seen in many art colleges. The donkeys were designed in bent plywood, in differing sizes and with an animal like aesthetic to appeal to younger users. In addition, dollies were proposed to transport the donkeys around the gallery building.
